Lynyrd Skynyrd is a famous and influencial southern rock band formed in 1970 by Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins, Gary Rossington, Larry Junstrom, Bob Burns, and Billy Powell. They have had many great hits such as Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama that have influenced many later groups and continue to do so today.
