Q-Tip is the stage name of Kamaal Ibn John Fareed. Q-Tip is one of the founding members of the hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest. In 1998 after A Tribe Called Quest parted ways Q-Tip began a successful solo carreer having release 4 solo albums: Amplified, Kamaal the Abstract, and The Renaissance. Q-Tip has also has numerous film appearence in movies such as Poetic Justice, Disappearing Acts, Prison Song, Brown Sugar, and She Hate Me.
